We ran into some construction during an outing. We were gathering donuts at the Donut Monster prior to a bike trip to Christie Lake. And then we also encountered this visual treat: the splash of orange and yellow that could only be the vivid warning of caution tape and construction fence. These happen to be highly visible, and are designed, probably, to prevent accidents. That’s really quite remarkable in and of itself. But if you think of these colours as paint, and of the space they inhabit as a canvas, the delight is multiplied.
